fballard2011's photostream

Well, here's my foray into Flickr, tagging and all. A few pix from our Lego building program. I can see this as a great way to post photos of a successful program to a blog or website. Loved what NJLA did with the Snapshot Day photostream, great example of using Flickr for advocacy and public relations. I found it very simple to use!

Picnik- Week 1 Level 3

Here is an extremely adorable kid and author Dan Gutman, picture modified by Picnik. This is fairly easy, and a lot of fun. I think the best way to go about it is to just go in and mess about a bit; I had a few mishaps but was happy with the result and will certiainly use this in the future. On a personal note, I make my folks a calendar of pix every year and this will zip it up. On a professioanl note...um, yeah, this is a professional thing...I can think of many ways our YS Dept can use this function, whether it is posting to our library blog or creating wacky posters, which our kids (I am thinking particularly of my preteens) will love!

First blog post!

Well, I have to say...that was easy and fun. I watched the video, as suggested, and then logged in. I already had a Google password that I use to follow and post on our library blog, so that was a cinch. I set my blog up and then messed around a bit with templates and used advance function a bit too. (What can I say, I'm a risk taker.) At first I couldn't figure out how to save my changes, but finally spotted the "apply to blog" button and VOILA! Very user friendly...and look out...I think I oculd get into this!
